About the teacher:

Hello, my name is Brian Ricks! 

I received my  Bachelors degree in K-12 music education, with an emphasis in Voice from Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID in May of 2023. 

While there, I had the pleasure of receiving weekly voice lessons from Dr. Geoffrey Friedley for four years. I also had the privilege of teaching voice lessons and providing vocal coachings.

I have also performed in two voice masterclasses taught by members of the Metropolitan Opera Company and understudied a major role in an ISU opera production.

I served as the assistant music director for IFYAC (Idaho Falls Youth Arts Center) in their June 2023 musical theater camps. I also served as the music director for Rising Star Theater's fall 2025 youth production. 

 

Recently, I have had the absolute pleasure of studying with Jordan Bowman, Soprano for about 6 months prior to beginning my time as a service missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; as well as periodically during my mission. During my mission, I continued to teach singing lessons on a limited and volluntary basis. I am excited to resume providing singing lessons for people in the Ammon/ Idaho Falls community
